The Golden Perch

Dedicated to Percy, our resident Golden Nile Perch, our interior bar provides ample room to relax after a day of spirited activity on sumptous day beds or our converted boat sofas that will bouy your spirits on

the  journey into night.

 The Drawing Room and Library

Our drawing room, at the highest point of the lodge, with its classical inspired Italian furniture, offers guests the ultimate retreat for after dinner chocolates or a taste of our wine and port collection in our cosy tasting nook.

Bringing a feel of the lake and surrounding forest inside, our hanging lighting fixtures echo the roped, falling, and twisted vines, while our driftwood chandlier and boat shelves bring the endless spirit of adventure into physical form. Indeed, the library offers a changing selection of books from our broader collection, where guests can retire with a their favoured read at the close of an evening and allow the imagination to perpetually wander.

 Chalets and Suites

The Lakeside Chalets

Each of our lakeside chalets holds an individual charm, sourcing a broad and electic array of local and international African artwork and crafts.

The chalets each sleep two people comfortably and an extra single bed or cot may to added to the rooms upon request. Each chalet is furnished with an ensuite shower and ablutions.

Chalets one and two share an interconnecting balcony, ideal for families with older children.  Each of the remaining rooms has an individual balcony overlooking the lake should guests require a private retreat away from the public areas.

The Duboisi Suite

Taking inspiration from the youthful zebra-like stripes of the Cicild Tropeus Duboisi in its decor, the suite offers a spacious enclave with ample room for an extra bed and cot.

Alternatively, couples are welcome to bask in the luxury of the Mukwa king size bed or soak in the Victorian bathtup.  Enjoy communing with nature in the outside shower and enclosing natural grotto.

With various outdoor spaces both on the attached balcony and deck overlooking the lake, guests may enjoy the privacy of sunbathing, outdoor napping or catching up on your favourite book. Your only visitors may be the Vervet monkeys that frequent the well established treeline.
